Hi everyone, my name is Naomi Chen Xuanning and you can call me Mimi for short. That's how Mummy always called me. By the way my Daddy's name is Vincent Tan and Mummy's name is Sally Ng.

I was born on 7th Jan 2008 by induction at Thomson Medical Centre after 40 weeks of gestation. My birth weight was 2.55kg with a length of 48cm and head circumference of 33cm.

With tender loving care from Daddy and Mummy I've grown!

HortPark - The Gardening Hub

Since today is National Day and a public holiday, our cell group organised a morning walk at Kent Ridge Park. We were to meet at 7.30am at Malan Road where our old church used to be. Therefore I woke up around 6.15am and left home around 6.40am. The arrangement was that Uncle Colin will be picking us up at Potong Pasir MRT Station because Daddy got morning devotion at Garden Hotel so he won't be joining us. However we were late and Uncle Colin picked us at Harbour Front MRT Station instead.

Mummy I am so.... sleepy.....

Waiting for LRT
When we reached Malan Road, everyone was there already. And after some discussions, the group decided to visit the HortPark - The Gardening Hub first instead of taking the 280 metres long canopy walk of Kent Ridge Park that leads to Mount Faber.
HortPark - The Gardening Hub is located at the Hyderabad Road side of the Alexandra Arch which can also be connected to Kent Ridge Park via the Canopy Walk. HortPark - The Gardening Hub is Southeast Asia's first one stop garderning centre for garderning related recreational, educational, research and retail activities in a park setting.

Behind us is Alexandra Arch and Ready, Get Set, Go!

At HortPark I saw many different types of beautiful flowers and fruits trees such as jambu and pomelo. There was also a huge cotton tree and cotton wools were seen lying around under the tree. Towards the end of HortPark sightseeing I fell asleep and what happens after that I have no idea.

Starting to doze off. Zzzzz......

At Kent Ridge Park

Mummy said we spent about two hours altogether walking through the HortPark and took the Canopy Walk that linked to Kent Ridge Park (up to the site of the battle of Bukit Chandu) before returning to HortPark again. After that we walked back to Malan Road where Daddy was waiting for us. Wow what an achievement despite the weather was so sunny.

The picture below shows us at a coffee shop in Tanglin Halt neighbourhood where breakfast shall begin after a long walk.

After breakfast we headed back home. On the way back Daddy decided to bring me to the Punggol Marina seaside to take a quick look.
