Summary of the week

This week was a pretty normal week for me. As usual grandma would come over to play with me on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. However something special was that Waipo and Li Gu also came over on Friday. They spent the whole day with me till late evening and Mummy managed to take some pictures of us.

Saturday was my Sign, Say and Play class and this week the theme was dressing up. So I learnt how to sign comb, coat, shoes, socks, hat, big and small. So far I only managed to pick the hat sign as it was simply tapping on my head. After the lesson Mummy brought me to grandma house to meet up with Daddy because he was there to pick up car from Xiao Su. From there we proceed to Kiddy Palace at Toa Payoh to buy my new crib. Yeah! finally Mummy is getting me a new bed cos the current one is too short for me .

As for today, I went to church to celebrate children's day. There was an ice-cream party for the children so Mummy invited sister Agnes and brother Damien to come. Their daddy and mummy also came and they had a wonderful time eating all the ice-creams. As for me, I can't eat ice-cream yet so I stayed at the nursery room and play with my friends.

Sign, Say & Play Lesson 3

You maybe wondering why there was no mentioning of lesson 2. Simply because Mummy went to Malaysia last week and it was Daddy who brought me to class. Nevertheless I will update you all on lesson 3 of the Sign, Say & Play. The theme for today was 'Bath Time' and I was taught to sign bath, duck, bubble, frog and water. We even had pretend play of bathing a baby in the pool and I enjoyed it so much despite that I am all wet.

Developmental Milestones

I came home today with a surprise. Naomi was able to crawl up the platform in the living room. Vincent told me that in the afternoon she was still unable to do it. However she mastered the skill by evening time and I was there to witness the initial step. I thanked God for that witnessed. When I started working full time, I was worried that I am going to miss out her initial developmental milestones. God knows my desire.
Beside crawling around the house and following us wherever we goes, she also has learned how to stretch out her hand and give a hand shake if you told her to 'shake hand' and followed by a 'high five' gesture. Wow she is learning fast. I wonder what's next on her list?

Step 1: Both hands on platform Step 2: Get into the 'Push-U positionStep 3: Lift one leg up into the platformStep 4: Stablised yourself and lift the other leg

My First Mid-Autum Festival

This evening my family went to Aunty Adeline's house to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival. The gathering was organised by Aunty Dara and it was my first Mid-Autumn Festival celebration. Because of this Mummy bought me a beautiful Power Puff Girl lantern that however plays a very "Beng" music when switch on. Daddy commented that it sounds exactly like the lorry reversing signal sound.
My first lantern
At there I saw many familiar faces, all Aunties and Uncles from our church and they too brought their kids along. When everyone was present, we went to the playground to start lighting up the lanterns. All the parents helped up in doing so and the children were all very excited so they gathered around the adults waiting to get their lantern. As for me, I had my battery operated Power Puff Girl lantern which I gladly held in my hand and occasionally shake it all around.

The atmosphere was very lively and the lanterns shined brightly in the dark night. After a while, they switched to fire works which was the highlight of the night. Now even the parents joined in the fun.

Developmental Milestones

Just one day before Naomi turns eight months, she managed to take her first step of crawling. Wow Praise God for that. I've been waiting for this since the moment she started creeping and moving forward and backward by pushing off with her knee at around the beginning of seven months.
What triggers the crawl is a pen which has always been one of her favourite toy. She will always draw out the pen from Daddy's pocket and flung it around in her hand. So this time we took the pen and place it in front of her. As usual when she saw it, she was so excited that it pushes her to crawl forward and grab it without herself realising it.
Really joyful to witness it.
Another milestones she achieved toady was waving bye bye at Daddy when he was leaving for work. I'm so envy that Daddy get her first wave. But nevertheless, I am happy that my girl is growing and developing well.

This morning Mummy brought me to attend a class called Sign, Say and Play. It was actually a baby sign programme that encourage baby to use simple physical movements to communicate about things they want to talk about before they can speak. Mummy saw this programme at the Internet and decide to give it a try for me.

The class size was around 8 babies with their daddy and mummy. The theme for today lesson was meal time and we learn simply gesture like drink, eat, milk, more and etc.. It was pretty fun and I enjoyed it very much.

Oh Gosh!!!

It has been a week since Mummy do an update about me. Well she was busy adjusting to her new job and when she got home she devoted all her time and attention to me. So I guessed all her energy was drained out by the end of the day.

As for me this week was pretty normal except for today. I had a bad diarrhoea since morning and by late afternoon I was badly bruised on my bum. It's so painful and sore that I cried whenever I need to wash after a poo. Also I used up all the diapers Aunty bought to grandma house and grandpa had to go and buy diapers for me to use. Mummy was worried when she knew about it and decided to bring me to see a doctor. Daddy brought me to Thomson Medical Centre because it has a 24 hour clinic. We reached there at around 9.15pm and the consultation was a quick one cos there was no other patient.

However Mummy felt that the doctor was not being professional as he actually make a silly mistake. He prescribed lacterol powder for me to drink and the quantity was one packet of sachet only. Mummy asked the nurse why only one sachet was given and upon checking with the doctor, the answer was that the doctor forgot to put one zero next to the one. In another words I should be getting ten packets of sachet not one. The doctor must be sleepy ha ha ha....
