Chinese New Years' Eve

This year reunion dinner on New Years' Eve was a crowd. It's a combination of three families. My immediate family, Grandpa's family and Er Shen's family. Sounds large? Usually Daddy & Mummy will go back to Grandpa house for reunion dinner but for this years since Er Shen was a new member in the Tan family, her mummy invited us over to their house for steamboat instead.

I was thrilled as I can get to taste the food this time unlike last year where I was just a newborn. The whole atmosphere was very lively, chatty and you can hear a lot of sizzling sounds coming out from the hotpan.

First Day of CNY

Today we are going to visit great grandma. She is Daddy's grandma and this is the usual itineary for the first day of CNY. All her grandchildren will go to her house and visit her. Before that I have to get ready and dress up in this CNY costume given by Aunty Esther. Also I will be carrying my Dora handbag given by Er Shen to collect "Ang Pow". My first "Ang Pow" was given by Daddy & Mummy in the morning.

In the evening, my family went to Er Shu's house to have dinner. I help Er Shu do some cleaning before leaving.

Second Day of CNY
Even though the CNY kicks off well however mummy recieved a bad news today. Ah ma was hospitalised and critically ill. Ah ma was hospitalised since New Year's eve and mummy wasn't being informed at all. Simply because Ah ma wanted Mummy to enjoy the New Year's celebration. Mummy was very upset about the whole issue and simply not enjoying the lunch at Jiu Fu's house. She and Daddy also have to cancel their movie date in order to rush down to the hospital to see Ah ma. As for me, I end up at Yipo's house while they are away.

My First Sunday School

Although I've been to the Sunday school numerous time, however most of the time was just to pop by to see how's Daddy doing in the class. This year Mummy decided to let me attend the Sunday school on a regular basis even though I was still below the age requirement. The Kingdom Tots class was for age group between two to three years old.

I enjoyed the class very much because all my friends were there. Cornelius, Mikalay and Janelle.

I like the worship songs because it comes with actions and I also liked the snack time too.

Naomi's 1st Birthday Celebration

My Mimi finally turn 1 year old on 7th Jan 2009. Wow! can't really believed my baby is now a toddler . Looking back it was a year of hard work and character molding for us but nevertheless we really enjoyed parenthood!

Since December last year, me and Vincent has been anxiously counting down to her very big day and making arrangements for her party. Along the process, we met with some difficulties like finding the right venue, preparing the guests list and baking her birthday cake (the most challenging task due to time constraint and lack of practise)....

However we managed to get things done and thanked God that it was an enjoyable night for the adults and the kids.

We want to thank all friends for their presence and their well wishes and gifts.

Episode 2: 5-9th Jan 2009

Event : Naomi's Birthday Party continue...

Venue: Chalet at 52 Pasir Ris Drive

We booked a bungalow chalet through the help of Ronnie at Pasir Ris Drive. This is the initial venue we intended to hold Naomi's party. However the date we got turn out to be weekday so that's how the venue was changed to the community hall. Nevertheless, we still checked into the chalet and continue the party..... It was a very big double storey bungalow, fully air-condition. Mimi had a wonderful time during these few days because she can roamed freely around the place. Also we had a great time at the beach too playing with sand.

During Thursday, Dara's cell group also come to have fellowship and thekids- Joan, Ian and Chloe had a great time playing the X-box too.
