Cooking Porridge

After two unsuccessful tries of feeding Naomi with porridge, she finally ate it just now during dinnertime.
For the past 1 month she has been eating fruits and vegetables puree with cereal. She enjoys it very much especially plain cereal with milk. So the transition from cereal to porridge kind of worries me as I'm not sure what to cook. Asking around for secret receipt is the only way to get a head start.
The first time I gave her anchovies broth porridge and she reacted in a very funny manner after tasting it. Conclusion was she doesn't like it as it was tasteless. The second time I boiled anchovies broth with carrot and fish meat to make the porridge. Result was rejection again after a few tasting. So this afternoon, together with my helper Dory, we came up with a receipt. We decided to add carrot, sweet corn, meat and heng chai to make the porridge and puree it thoroughly. When we served it to Naomi, both of us were very nervous as we were not sure whether Naomi will accept the taste this time round. Thank God she likes it and never gave us that funny head shaking movement. Hooray!!! It's an encouragement to us and give us more confident in planning her meals in future.
